Joe Gaughran - Registered Coach and Referee

I became involved in rugby when a group of high school students in Blue Springs showed interest in establishing a team around 2005. The youth rugby contact at the time came out and gave advice on what actions needed to occur for our group to begin competing as a registered team. He also gave me contact info for KCRFC and I started to go to practices. I received 'best newcomer to rugby' award from City in Spring 2006 and continued to play the next couple years. 
In 2008, Alex was born and I began the impossible art of trying to juggle work, family, rugby and sleep. I continued to stay involved with rugby by trying to help grow a new club, Rogues, and getting my referee certification around 2010. I have been apart of the Liberty United family for over 2 years.  I became a certified coach in 2013.
